A courtroom has never been more lively and funny than in The Big Bad Musical! This smart and wickedly funny musical features a cast from several primary and secondary schools in south Trinidad, who are all between the ages of 9 and 15 .

The jury, which is you the audience, must decide the outcome of the biggest trial ever in the fairy-tale world! The notorious Big Bad Wolf is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by storybooks of quirky characters who want to get even such as Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. With Sydney Grimm as the commentator on live Court TV, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest, Evil Stepmother and Fairy Godmother, clash in a trial that will be remembered forever after. As our wronged fairy tale characters testify, the wolf seems deserving of all that is coming to him. Yet, even though the infamous Evil Stepmother resents doing pro-bono work on such an obviously futile defense, Mr. Wolf makes a good case for himself. Was he born a criminal, or made one?

This musical has it all - audience participation, witty comedy, and multiple endings to make every performance a unique experience, all complimented by Bill Francoeur’s original toe-tapping tunes! But amidst the fast-paced drama, lively music and rip-roaring comedy lies a very serious and thought-provoking message - things may not always be what they seem....

Meet The Creative Team

Mr. Dexter Crawford - Director

Mr. Dexter Crawford - Director. A Freelance Web developer with a Masters in Business Administration, Dexter developed his love for theatre and musical theatre during the 1980s and performed major roles in several of the PresCon choir’s early productions including Rock Nativity and Scrooge directed by Dr. Helmer Hilwig. While pursuing a degree in Engineering at the University of the West Indies, Dexter honed his skills as a performer and director as a member, and later President of the UWI Players, and landed lead roles in several dramatic theatre productions including the street theatre production of Miguel Street in 1987. His performance of High Priest “Ciaphas” in the 2005 production of Jesus Christ Superstar and “Action” in the 2011 production of West Side Story are two of his most memorable productions. He continues to work with the Presentation College Mixed Choir, serving as a drama coach and Director for the choir’s annual productions including Children of Eden, Once Upon A Mattress, Treasure Island, Ulysses, Joseph, and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Music Man.

Mr. Triston Wallace - Choreographer

Triston Wallace has been choreographing as long as he has been performing. He first gained national attention when he led his team to victory in the St George’s College aerobics competition in 2003. Since then he discovered T&T's local Hip Hop culture, other genres of dance, music, and ultimately theatre. He has choreographed many award-winning competitive routines along the way and has also been the choreographer for many choirs around in Trinidad, including the Eastern Youth Chorale, Fatima College and Presentation College. In 2008 he founded the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network and together with his trusted team, provides a variety of services to the performing arts industry. He is very inspired by the dance styles of the '50s and '60s and longs to choreograph for a full production of Dreamgirls and Hairspray. The highlight of his career thus far however has been choreographing for Brian Mac Farlene's Christmas Joy in 2015. He has brought his expertise to Native Caribbean Foundation by being our choreographer for the past five years

Mr. Victor Prescod - Musical Director

Mr. Prescod is a highly qualified professional with the music and performing arts sector. He is a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago who has been a Choral Clinician and Adjudicator at numerous Festivals and Competitions and has presented workshops on vocal production to school teachers, choral conductors and singers as well as workshops in Education and Music Education to School Administrators and teachers in Trinidad and Tobago and across the Caribbean. Apart from being a former Curriculum Officer in the Ministry of Education, Trinidad, and Tobago, he has worked extensively within the Caribbean and North America. He also is the former Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival Association. He has brought his expertise to the Native Caribbean Foundation by being our Musical Director for the past five years.
