Alice is a texting, tweeting and Googling girl of the modern digital era, yet she finds herself in the Wonderland of old. With all of the characters you know and love including the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and the Queen of Hearts, this musical imagines a present-day Alice encountering the Wonderland so many of us treasure. Meanwhile, the younger generation will appreciate and relate to the many references to texting and social networking. And the contemporary sounding new score by beloved composer Bill Francoeur and lyricist Scott DeTurk will delight all. A sharply told, crisply paced ride, this quality adaptation has been praised for its humour, artistic modern style and appeal to both children and adults.

Meet The Creative Team

Kurtis Gross

Mr. Gross is a multi-talented individual involved in Theatre, Education, Arts, and Culture. He has trained in the use of Educative Drama for addressing real-life work issues and was a founding member of the Arts-in-Action Group, a group using theater to educate, motivate, and empower individuals. He with various community institutions as a tutor in drumming, singing, drama, and folk dancing and is one of the tutors in the Prime Minister’s Best Village Competition- an activity used to keep alive the indigenous cultural events, dances, and traditions. He also worked in Aruba, St Lucia, Cuba, Jamaica, St. Thomas, St. Croix doing dance, comedy, school workshops, and other performances. In addition to the work in theater, education, and culture, he scripted and directed plays at the community level and has acted in numerous productions locally and internationally. He is also a support musician for Ella Andall, one of the Caribbean. He has brought his expertise to the Native Caribbean Foundation by being our Director for the past four years

Mr. Triston Wallace - Choreographer

Triston Wallace has been choreographing as long as he has been performing. He first gained national attention when he led his team to victory in the St George’s College aerobics competition in 2003. Since then he discovered T&T's local Hip Hop culture, other genres of dance, music, and ultimately theatre. He has choreographed many award-winning competitive routines along the way and has also been the choreographer for many choirs around in Trinidad, including the Eastern Youth Chorale, Fatima College and Presentation College. In 2008 he founded the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network and together with his trusted team, provides a variety of services to the performing arts industry. He is very inspired by the dance styles of the '50s and '60s and longs to choreograph for a full production of Dreamgirls and Hairspray. The highlight of his career thus far however has been choreographing for Brian Mac Farlene's Christmas Joy in 2015. He has brought his expertise to Native Caribbean Foundation by being our choreographer for the past five years

Mr. Victor Prescod - Musical Director

Mr. Prescod is a highly qualified professional with the music and performing arts sector. He is a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago who has been a Choral Clinician and Adjudicator at numerous Festivals and Competitions and has presented workshops on vocal production to school teachers, choral conductors and singers as well as workshops in Education and Music Education to School Administrators and teachers in Trinidad and Tobago and across the Caribbean. Apart from being a former Curriculum Officer in the Ministry of Education, Trinidad, and Tobago, he has worked extensively within the Caribbean and North America. He also is the former Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival Association. He has brought his expertise to the Native Caribbean Foundation by being our Musical Director for the past five years.
